Editing Wikipedia

Wikipedia actually has a system... there is a method to it all.

One of my earliest experiences with Wikipedia involved doing Wiki-Races with my friends. Start on a random article (alt+x hotkey) and click only links to reach a destination article.

As part of an online ASU course in Digital Literacy, I had to jump in, learn the ropes, and edit an article through all the normal Wikipedia channels.

Not surprisingly, most of the work is done by volunteers and interested people. There are groups of people that have been involved with the project since inception, and some of those people are committed to teaching the set of rules that helps maintain the special space that is Wikipedia in 2020.
