Civics and Collaboration
An exploration in local civics, slightly larger city politics, and preliminary ideas on what the key issues may be.
Where does the disconnect between local government and high level politics begin? At what size does organization, representation, and decision making start to become ineffecient?
When do opportunities for corporate influence and financial kickbacks begin to appear? How do we develop political structure and culture to be resilient to bad actors and disinformation?
What does it take for me and you to feel optimistic about the way our government is run?
This post won't contain a silver-bullet answer, but it will be earnest in uncovering steps towards systems that feel right. If you spot any incorrect or limiting assumptions, please do share.
